We still have to put up the range hood (above the stove). We got a top-of-the-line, stainless steel range hood for 1/8th of the price on craigslist... Yippee! We are still working on the butcher block countertops. We have to glaze them before bolting them in and they take a while to dry. And then we'll finish off the bar top. So when you're standing at the sink you can look over the bar top into the living room and out the front windows.Waiting for the butcher block to dry provides some delay in sanding and texturing the drywall in the dining room. Here are a few pictures of it's current state. I spent most of last weekend mudding the drywall. Call me crazy, but this stuff is actually really enjoyable. It feels like a huge art project... complete with it's stress and frustrations, but the reward is fantastic.
