Swork Art Show, Eagle Rock

My husband and I both showed some art (photography for me, painting for him) at our local coffee shop (Swork Coffee, on Eagle Rock and Colorado Blvd) a few weeks ago. It was a great show and mostly just nice to get together with friends and locals. :)

Fresno, San Joaquin River Gorge Suspension Bridge trail

 

My sister and I met in Fresno a couple weekends ago to visit with our cousins. Emily just turned 17 and we went to her summer drama group performance. Then went on an awesome hike to a suspension bridge over the San Joaquin Gorge. Here's some pictures of the hike:

Meg Myers

Meg Myers is an incredible musician. Her shows are thrilling and the performances have given me chills. It's surprising to hear such a beautiful strong voice come out of such a petite frame. She plays every Monday in the month of August at the Bootleg Theater, 11pm showtimes. And these shows are free, so there's no reason to miss one if you're in the LA area!
